ONLY Show Your BEST Work!

In looking at groomers’ websites and socials, one of the first things I look at is their images. The images you use tell a story, your story! It’s oftentimes the client’s first impression. Therefore, it’s essential that you not only choose them wisely but that you take these images consciously as well.
Here are some things to keep in mind using images on your website and social media platforms:
❌ Bad pictures
✅ Great pictures: good lighting, positioning of the dog (sitting, standing or laying down), well chosen angle (from above, taken low, or at eye level) and lens choice (0.5, 1x, 3x, etc) of your phone's camera. In addition, determine what you'd like to show off in the picture : the whole dog, the gorgeous body and leg work or the perfect Teddy Bear face? Take a few extra seconds before snapping a pic.
❌ Not your best work
✅ ONLY show your BEST work! Don't showcase pictures of a dog that wasn't very cooperative and therefore didn't allow you to perform your best work. Don't showcase pictures of a dog that you did just ok with... Showcase pictures of the few select dogs that will make clients go : "Wow! That groomer has some SKILLS!"
❌ Showing styles, haircuts and breeds you don't (yet) specialize in
✅ Showcase breeds, styles and haircuts you're great at TODAY! Maybe those Teddy Bear cuts are still something you're learning or poodles are not really your specialty. That's all OK! However, don't showcase them then. Instead, showcase what you DO specialize in and what you ARE great at!
